Streamer Spotlight: Cut_U_S0_BaD
Tell us a little about yourself.
My name is Matt. I'm 35 yrs old and have been gaming for as long as I can remember. I'm from Chicago and am never leaving. When I'm not playing games or paying bills, I valet at a high end restaurant. Fyi, Ferraris are overrated lol.
What are your hobbies?
Obviously gaming is first and foremost. I played baseball, golf, hockey & football in high school. Although golf is now the only other sport I play basically. I enjoy cooking and can make you one helluva accidental omelette. I've taken a few cooking classes to get better with mixed results so far.
What inspired you to start streaming?
Ok so this is a bit more personal than I usually like to get, but the honest reason I even started streaming was to battle depression and social anxiety. I've never functioned well in groups as some of you may know and even more of you can relate to. Casually streaming started as a way for me to have social interaction but on my terms. I view it as a way for me to "put myself out there" as my mom used to say, all while still feeling in control of the situation. If any of you have the same issues, I truly hope that the occassional stream can benefit you like it has me.
What game(s) do you stream?
I stream a variety of games but as you can no doubt guess, Rock Band being the primary choice. I'll play/stream just about anything. Currently I've been playing an unhealthy amount of Rocket League to go along with Rock Band. The list is ever increasing. Stop by for the next surprise. :)
What instrument(s) do you play?
What's the story behind your gamertag?
Oh boy! Some of you may know this already but my tag is based on a joke in an old episode of Family Guy. Many years ago, my gaming obsession was Battlefield 1942; specifically a mod for that game called Desert Combat. All I would ever do was sneak past enemies and knife them. A few days after having seen that episode, I proclaimed "I'll cut you so bad you gonna wish I didnt cut you so bad" after yet again knifing an opponent. It's stuck ever since.
What makes your stream unique?
I honestly have no clue. In the big scheme of things, does it need to be unique? I just wanna create a friendly atmosphere where everyone can hang out and not feel judged. There's very little consistency to my stream. From the people I play with, to the games we play, it's a new experience every time.
What's your favorite part about streaming?
Basically my favorite part is the interaction and the crazy awesome amount of amazing people I've been exposed to. While streaming has helped me battle depression, it has more so introduced me to a community of people that I ordinarily would not have met. To be honest, streaming took a back seat to helping with depression after getting to know a lot of you guys. The relationships that have been created from streaming is something I would never give back.
What are the current goals or milestones you're working on?
My current goals include trying to up my guitar skill. At the moment it's a bit futile, but we're getting there. Alt strumming is forever something I'm working on lol. But at the end of the day, my main goal has little to do with streaming and more about simply being a better human. The bonds I've formed as a result of streaming are a huge factor in me accomplishing that goal. So many of you have helped me feel more comfortable in my own skin than you can possibly imagine, and I hope to have you guys along for the ride. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing you all soon. :)
