Streamer Spotlight: DerreckGS
Tell us a little about yourself.
Well my name is Hunter or Derreck now (long story but that's my middle name) I've been around in the rhythm gaming community since 2005, I started with GH1 and the rest is history, I quit playing when RB3 came out and honestly only reason I'm back is because I happened to find the lovely Lady Eaves one random night streaming RB4, she convinced me to buy the game and i've been here ever since!
What are your hobbies?
Well outside of gaming I play music irl, I've had a couple bands over the years and am currently looking to form another if the time allows me. I also collect video games and spend my weekend mornings at garage sales and flea markets, can't think of anything better!
What inspired you to start streaming?
I've been streaming on and off since around 2008 back when Ustream and Justin.tv were the platforms (yeah who remembers those?) At the time I just wanted to try it because people like UKOG and JLC did, and a very special shout out to my friend IvoryDoll who I met on Ustream (she'll never read this but it's important to mention)
What game(s) do you stream?
I mainly stream RB3/RB4 at this point but I do stream others occasionally, I want to branch out to more but I feel my viewers only really want to watch RB which is probably true haha, as for other games in the future I plan to stream Fallout 3/NV/4, I am Setsuna, Xenoblade and many more, streaming vies me a way to play my backlog and enjoy it too.

What's the story behind your gamertag?
Well everyone used to know me as TheZohanGamer, the story behind that one is that my buddy had just seen You don't mess with the zohan and I told him to make me a name, that's what he came up with, I didn't even know that movie existed till years later haha, my current tag, DerreckGS is just my middle name coupled with and old pokemon reference (yes I still love Pokemon)
What makes your stream unique?
I'm not sure anything makes it more unique than anyone else except myself, if you want to see a grumpy guy curse and swear at game where you use plastic instruments then you're in the right place! also I started the trend of IRL apparently and plan to do more of those, they always turn out fun.
What's your favorite part about streaming?
Just being able to share my love of games with other people, especially Rock Band. Being able to interact with people all over the world is incredible, and without streaming I wouldn't have ANY of you people as friends, and that's a life i can't imagine not having.
What are the current goals or milestones you're working on?
I'd like to hit 300 followers. I'm hoping over the month of August to stream a LOT more, as long as time allows. Also working on overall FC count for RB4 and it's slow and grueling playing all those 0 tiers but streaming makes it fun! I hope to see you all sometime!

I strive to be like Jenni one day, she's got the personality and the talent!
