Streamer Spotlight: Nightfoxxy_
Tell us a little about yourself.
Hello rockers, I'm Foxxy! Nightfoxxy_ is my Twitch name, ooNIGHTFOXXoo is my Xbox gamertag. I mainly go by Foxxy or Foxx. I am originally from Colorado. I spent about 5 years in California, and am now currently in Idaho, living as a country potato. It's beautiful and peaceful here, yet I have loved everywhere I've lived, the natural beauty of the world is everywhere if you look in the right places.
What are your hobbies?
I love to play games, paint, sketch, journal, hike with my doggy Jasper, take photos, read, write, sing, and listen to music. The only times I am without music is when I have to be for work (seriously, always one ear with an earbud in, and I have so many playlists they are organized by time - for example: summer 2018). I love looking for new music and love when people share their favorites with me.
What inspired you to start streaming?
My sister (GrilledSheez) is a streamer and loves to play all sorts of games. I started out modding for her channel and promoting her work. I went to TwitchCon SF and was so inspired when I met all the amazing streamers that I started streaming as well. I am so happy with our community and the friends we have made all over the world in this journey. Some of the best people I have ever met came from Twitch.
What game(s) do you stream?
I stream Rock Band every Sunday night, but I also stream and play a variety of console games. I usually play a solo story game and a multiplayer PVP game on stream for balance and variety. I used to PC game and got super addicted to WoW. Now I just casually stream and game and have fun with whoever has time or would like to join me. I love being silly and having fun with gaming and streaming. My favorite person to game with is my sister, she is too funny and I wish our schedules coincided more for Sister Streams.

What's the story behind your gamertag?
My gamertag is from my WoW days. It was not thought up by me, but I have always liked it. After awhile, it has become more of a brand for me, attached to my art, creative social medias, and writings I do. I tend to stick with the shortened Foxxy, though, as I do in RL with the shortened version of my real name.
What makes your stream unique?
When I first started gaming, in WoW and other multiplayer games, I was playing with people who took games very seriously and had a tendency to be toxic. I found that I didn't always enjoy it. As I started searching for people to game with, stream with, and build a community with, my sister and I decided we wanted to find the most positive, creative, and friendly people. This mattered more than the gameplay. In my streams, I like to focus on positivity, laughs, and creativity. I also handcraft personalized painted cards for my subs and like to spread those positive vibes across the planet. Being good to people and encouraging them is a life mission for me, it is my main focus every day and helps me to focus and simplify everything that I do, professionally, on stream, and in my personal life.
What's your favorite part about streaming?
My favorite part about streaming is meeting amazing people who genuinely want to be around and who care about me and my sister and my family. I could not imagine my life without having met some of the people that I have met. It amazes me every single day how lucky I am to have found such incredibly caring, generous, and creative people. Our community means everything to me, and I am so happy to be in this with my sister, who is the most beautiful person on the entire planet.
What are the current goals or milestones you're working on?
My continual goal is to have my art go out to as many places as possible, all over the planet, with the aim of spreading positive vibes and making people feel good about themselves. I am always (slowly) working on equipment. My sister and I are working on merchandise and handouts for TwitchCon 2018, as well as planning meetup activities. I am hoping to someday integrate in creative streaming to work on and learn more art techniques and broaden my channel and community. But I will never stop singing Rock Band songs for my viewers.
